According to a Report on Ganga River Pollution, The Aqua life of Ganga is in Danger.
Recently, hundreds of dead fish were found floating in the Ganga near the temple of Shukratal. A cop said that fish which were found dead last month, may have died due to secretion of toxic industrial effluents in the upstream of ganga river, in Uttarakhand.
Union Minister of State for Water Resources Sanjeev Balyan visited the town to find the main cause of this incident. He directed officers to take necessary action against the culprits. A case has been registered against unidentified industries of Uttarakhand under sections 277 (fouling water of public spring or reservoir), 284 (negligent conduct with respect to poisonous substance) and 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) .
Police Department added that a team has been sent to Uttarakhand to investigate the matter and a team from the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board inspected the place and collected water samples for forensic tests.
Hope that they will find the solution of this problem(Ganga Cleaning) & we save our holy ganga.
